Bob Stewart was a true great on Caroline, with his very authentic sounding mid-Atlantic accent he presented the 12 – 3.00 pm slot on a regular basis on the North ship. On this ORG presentation he features the Sound of The Stars interview with Tom Lodge and the Beatles. This freebee floppy record was given away with a copies of Disc & Music Echo in 1966 which featured different artists.
Jerry Leighton presented the Early Show on Caroline North his smooth presentation style was a big hit with Caroline’s breakfast listeners.

Relive the build up to events that took place on the Radio Ship Ross Revenge on 19th August 1989. Radio Caroline was boarded by the Dutch government officials from the vessel The Volens, hear all the action as it happened the many calls for help right to the very end.

This is a special announcement from the Radio Caroline ship Ross Revenge. At the moment we have a large Dutch tug, the Volans, whose intentions are not clear but they seem to have the intention of taking this ship from the high seas.
Here Bruce Munros final words as a member of the boarding party enters . Would you like say anything Sir before we go off. He did not comment as Radio Caroline abruptly left the air at that moment, at 1307pm Saturday 19th August 1989.

Radio Caroline ceased its daytime English programming on 1st December 1977. Radio Mia Amigo then carried
the Dutch service with Caroline returning at 6.30pm with music through the night until 5 am.
