Radio Scotland the Offshore Pirate station that was founded by Tommy Shields in 1965 it broadcast from a former Irish light vessel called the Comet. The 145ft mast radiated at best a power of 20KW on a frequency of 242 metres. The following is a selection of extracts from their last days output, includes Tony Allan & Mark West who pay tribute to the other pirate stations & reveal some secrets

April 1966 Britain Radio Tests and Regular broadcasts 

The Sweet Music Station Britain Radio was sister Station to Swinging Radio England. It started testing on 227 metres medium wave on 30th April 1966 with regular programmes commencing 19th June 1966 on 355

  metres. This ORG compilation is an excellent example from the early tests to normal output from this

 short lived but excellent station. Many of the jocks presented on both Britain & England, featured are Jerry Smithwick, Graham Gill, Johnnie Walker, and others.
